Coming to Oslo

Lelaki Komunis Terakhir will makes its Scandinavian premiere on Oct 7 and 10 at the Films from the South Festival in Norway. The festival also has this year an Abbas Kiarostami retrospective with the maestro in attendance.

As far as I know this is the first time I'm screening in Norway. Something to make you go A-ha!

Coming to Taiwan

Lelaki Komunis Terakhir screens on 28 October and 3 November at the Taiwan International Documentary Festival. I hope to attend both screenings as I am also on the jury there for the shorts.

Coming to London

Lelaki Komunis Terakhir will screen on Oct 22 & 24 at the London Film Festival.

This is the 50th year the festival has been around but the first time it has screened something from Malaysia. Wish I could be there to meet the punters at the ICA and NFT (two places where I used to watch films more than a decade ago). But it's better to celebrate Raya at home, methinks. If you can attend, do let me know how it goes!

Coming to Vancouver

Lelaki Komunis Terakhir will screen on Oct 5 & 6 at the Vancouver International Film Festival

Lots of goodies are in store for the festival, and I plan to attend both screenings. I was last in Vancouver 3 years ago for The Big Durian and enjoyed it lots. I hope there is still a big bunch of Malaysian students there who will turn up and laugh at all the right places.
