The doctor
Pak Budin was the doctor of the 10th Regiment. Ethnic Chinese, Muslim convert, and self-taught physician, he would cure various ailments and injuries through his remedies. Everyone who has seen Apa Khabar Orang Kampung would agree that his interview is certainly one of the most spirited, especially when he would talk about his method of 'korek' (digging) and the unusual (to us) use of 'anak ayam' (chicks).
His legs were once paralysed in battle but he managed to heal them. After that, he could scale mountains. He still went to his farm every morning.
We were sad to learn that Pak Budin passed away last Saturday at the age of 82. He never got a chance to see his interview. But his contribution is there; in fact his is the last voice you can hear on the trailer.
After Pak Kassim, he is the second person in the documentary to die since our interviews were conducted a mere five months ago. Some would say we are haunted! But it's better to just say: Inalillah!

people just happen to die of old age. God bless Pak Budin. (",) Bright side, he managed to share parts of his life and people would remember him, thanks to the interview.

"Haunted?" That got my blood racing!

good one
bila mau buat private screening?
I couldnt help reading one of your article on NST about your "complains" about Datuks..Tan Sris and all the VIP..Your argument are very shallow and dis really show that you simply put you thoughts without proper research..Let me remind you that our country is NOT a repuclic, hence, all the titles still exist..But i also have to agree with you that its a waste of time in formal functions..Please do your research before publishing something u think that is controversial and may make you look smarter but actually it makes you otherwise...
in regards to datin anna's comment, I must say that I've written quite a few entries about royalties and their so-called status, protocol and whatnot. Recently, it was proven as I see the attitude that goes with such titles. just to add, that individual opinion is an open ended commentary that is neither right nor wrong.
anyways, sir, would you be kind enough to email me your email address to nurol@perdana.org.my as I would like to propose a project from the foundation I'm working with. its a collection of malaysian anecdotes and if you're kind enough to participate, I'd like to forward the official invitation letter from my executive director in regards of inviting you to contribute for this project. its up to you to publish this comment or not since its on the moderation mode. but please take notice on this, its the only way I can contact you. thanks sir.
went to your slide presentation at silverfish a while back and am quite looking forward to watching it if it's shown in malaysia...uh er is it available in petaling street i wonder? (if it's available there you should consider it an honour mr amir)..and wish you all the best in berlin fest
